4/10/2020 The following paragraph references a key point addressed during our last meeting. But, the fact I am being asked questions, makes me feel I need to put it in writing. A typical workweek is Monday-Friday and typically, employees are paid the following Friday. Basic has been operating on a Friday-Thursday routine and paying you the following day. Because of current furlough, I felt the need to adjust our schedule to reflect the standard process. To do so, today we will be mailing you checks for the hours worked last Friday. Salary employees' compensation will be prorated. Some of you worked a few hours this week. Compensation for those hours will be distributed next Friday. Unemployment benefits will be filed for all other employees this coming Monday and it will address 4/6 through 4/10 workweek. Based on employer filing instructions, payment will be processed within 48 hours. But, I have a feeling there might be a delay the first week. Also, once your account has been set up, you will be able to log in and request direct deposit benefits. Click

4/3/2020 Summary of today's meeting. Due to shelter-in-place order, Basic Printing and More is officially closed until further notice. Current state deadline is 4/13/2020. But, we are expecting to see days added to the initial date. Basic is actively looking at government programs to help us weather the storm until things are back to normal. Until then, everybody in the company is furloughed. Basic will submit all information to collect benefits on behalf of employees. Funds will be mailed to you from unemployment offices. Company will continue to provide benefits and will cover the employee's portion while government agencies provide compensation. A new feature will be added on Monday to help verify your current information before submitting data to the unemployment office. For Spanish speaking personnel, please contact Ysaida Coronado at 404-671-6064 if you have any questions before you submit the form.
4/2/2020You are all probably aware by now of state's shelter-in-place order. Final details will be released later today and it will be enforced starting Friday. We are waiting for specic work related details. I will make sure to update site with new information. We may be forced to close the business until further notice. Based on yesterday's conference, the initial window expires 4/13/2020. But, it is possible closure may extend beyond mentioned date based on the pandemic's progress.
3/30/2020 This week's order volume will help us make a better decision regarding our future workload for the next three months. The government is offering several options to help employees financially if laid-off. But, options are also possible for the employer, through business loans, to keep you employed even if no work is available. We have applied and currently waiting for a decision. Also, the department of labor has a plan to help offset revenue loss during work reduction. We will keep you informed.

I have attached the link regarding "shelter-in-place" mandated by Bartow county and the city of Cartersville. Based on what I read, we have to make sure we keep a distance of 6 feet or more between us. If you feel that is not the case, please check with your supervisior to address and implement changes.

3/26/2020 A new stimulus package has been approved to assist individuals and businesses. No specific information has been provided as of this content. Also, we have been assured by BSN their distribution facility in Indy has not been closed. Therefore, the supply chain is still open. We have been able to secure inks and chemicals to keep us going. Supply of masks, TP and towels is almost non existant in stores.
3/25/2020 Some of you decided not to show up to work today without giving notice. There has to be some degree of communication to make sure we are on the same page. Please know your jobs are secure when things are back to normal. But, make an effort to verbally communicate with your supervisor for better planning.
